OpenCharts offers four plans — Free, Starter, Unlimited, and Teams. Billing is handled through Stripe with monthly or annual options. You can also purchase AI credit packs for extra usage.

### Teams

- Everything in Unlimited
- 500K AI credits / user / month
- Real-time collaboration (cursors, comments)

## AI Credits

### How Credits Work

Every AI action (extraction, generation, rewriting, side-panel chat) consumes credits from your monthly allotment. Credits reset on your billing cycle date. Unused credits do not roll over.

### Credit Packs (One-Time Purchase)

Need more credits mid-cycle? Purchase a one-time pack. Purchased credits _do_ carry over month to month and are used only after your base allotment runs out.

Check your current usage in **Settings → Billing**. The credit meter shows base credits, purchased surplus, and usage for the current cycle.

## Upgrading & Downgrading

### Upgrading

Go to **Settings → Billing → Upgrade Plan** or visit the **/pricing** page. You'll be redirected to Stripe Checkout. The new plan takes effect immediately, and your credit allotment adjusts.

### Downgrading & Cancellation

You can cancel at any time from **Settings → Billing**. Your paid features remain active until the end of the current billing period. After that, your account reverts to the Free plan limits. Existing projects are not deleted — you just can't create new ones beyond the Free quota.

## Managing Your Billing

All billing management is handled through the **Settings → Billing** tab:

- View current plan, status, and next billing date
- See AI credit usage (base + purchased + used this month)
- Switch between monthly and annual billing
- Purchase AI credit packs
- Cancel or change your plan
